Red Pine

Fruit: Cones are ovoid, tapering broad near the base and tapering to a point at the tip, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches long. The exposed portion of the cone scales is chestnut brown and the cone scale is not armed with a prickle tip. Maturing August to October.
